When ten-year-old Rainey Teague disappears on his way home from school in idyllic NICEVILLE, Detective Nick Kavanagh traces the boy to his last sighting. CCTV shows Rainey there one minute and gone the next. In the days that follow, hope of finding Rainey alive starts to fade, but then he is found - alive but in a coma - and there's no telling if he'll wake up. As Nick investigates, he finds that the number of stranger abductions in NICEVILLE is much higher than average.
